Terms and Conditions

Please take a moment to read through the relevant section for your treatment, and ensure you understand and agree to all the points covered before attending your appointment. There is also important aftercare advice which will help you gain the most from your treatment.

Payment

At this time, payment is in cash or by bank transfer only.

Medical Conditions

Please let me know if you are currently suffering from any of the medical conditions listed in the relevant section below, or if you suffer from diabetes, epilepsy, are pregnant, or are currently receiving treatment for cancer, so I can adapt your treatment accordingly.

Allergies

I only ever use professional quality products for all my treatments to minimise the chance of allergic or adverse reactions. If you suffer from any allergies, or have had an adverse reaction to any products in the past, please let me know as soon as possible before your appointment.

Lashes

Patch Tests

Glue patch tests are required for new clients or clients who are pregnant. I have patch testing kits available on request, and it is recommended that a drop of glue is applied behind the ear 24 hours prior to your appointment to check for any allergic reactions. Even if you have had lash extensions before, or have carried out a patch test in the past with no adverse reaction, different glues can react differently, and people can suddenly develop an allergy.

Medical Conditions

There are certain circumstances in which lash extensions should not be carried out. If you have, or suspect you have, one or more of the conditions below, unfortunately it will not be possible to continue with your appointment:

  • Contagious eye infection
  • Hypersensitive skin or severe allergies
  • A previous allergic reaction to lash glue or products
  • Stye or abscess
  • Swelling of the eyes/eye area
  • Cancer or are undergoing Chemotherapy treatment
  • Cuts or wounds to the eye area
  • Recent laser eye surgery
  • You are pregnant

By continuing with your appointment, you confirm that you do not currently have any of the above conditions.

Appointments

Please arrive at your appointment make up free, and ensure no eye cream or moisturiser has been applied to the eye area as this will affect the effectiveness of the glue. Extra time spent cleaning your lashes if makeup is heavy may be charged at a £10 additional fee.

If you arrive late to your appointment, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service. If your appointment is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full amount.

Customers attending infill appointments with less than 40% of their lash extensions will be charged for a new full set.

Aftercare

To make your lashes last as long as possible and avoid damaging your natural lashes:

  • Avoid getting lashes wet for up to 48 hours after your appointment
  • Avoid saunas and steam rooms
  • Do not rub, pick or pull at your lash extensions
  • Clean your lashes twice a week using foaming cleanser or baby shampoo.
  • Avoid using oil based products near or around your eyes as this will break down the glue
  • Do not apply mascara to lash extensions
  • Brush your lash tips once a day to separate and keep them looking their best
  • Avoid rubbing your eyes with makeup wipes, towels or cotton pads
  • Infills are recommended every 2 – 3 weeks to maintain full lashes.

It is recommended that infill appointments are booked in advance at the end of your current appointment to avoid disappointment.

Facials

Medical Conditions

There are certain circumstances in which facial treatments should not be carried out. If you have, or suspect you have, one or more of the conditions below, unfortunately it will not be possible to continue with your appointment:

  • Fever or cold
  • Contagious eye infection
  • Impetigo
  • Scabies
  • Cold sores
  • Contagious skin infection
  • Shingles
  • Tinea/Ringworm
  • Boils

By continuing with your appointment, you confirm that you do not currently have any of the above conditions.

Appointments

Please arrive at your appointment relatively make up free, so time is not wasted removing heavy makeup before we can begin.

If you arrive late to your appointment, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service. If your appointment is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full amount.

Your facial will last either 30 or 60 minutes depending on which option you have booked. This does not include the consultation time before your facial begins, so please allow an extra 10 - 15 minutes so we can discuss your requirements and ensure you get the most from your treatment.

The facial treatment includes a mini neck and shoulder massage, so before we begin, you will be asked to remove outer clothing on your top half, and place a towel over you just below your shoulders whilst I am out of the room. If for any reason you are not comfortable removing your top, please let me know during the consultation, and I will adjust the treatment accordingly.

Aftercare

During a facial, the skin and underlying muscles are stimulated, removing dead skin cells, and bringing newer cells to the surface encouraging cell renewal. It is therefore important to ensure that the skin is not overstimulated as this could cause irritation and redness. After your facial treatment is complete, for at least 24 hours:

  • Avoid applying makeup to the face
  • Avoid saunas and steam rooms
  • Avoid swimming
  • Avoid UV treatments and sun exposure
  • Avoid using an exfoliator/facial scrub for a few days
  • Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins
  • Avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking

Massages

Medical Conditions

There are certain circumstances in which massage treatments should not be carried out. If you have, or suspect you have, one or more of the conditions below, unfortunately it will not be possible to continue with your appointment:

  • Cardio-vascular conditions such as thrombosis, phlebitis, hypertension, heart conditions.
  • Oedema
  • Psoriasis or eczema
  • High blood pressure
  • Osteoporosis
  • Heart problems, such as angina, those with pacemakers

Appointments

Please arrive at your appointment relatively make up free, so time is not wasted removing heavy makeup before we can begin.

If you arrive late to your appointment, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service. If your appointment is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full amount.

Your massage will last approx 30 or 60 minutes depending on which option you have booked. This does not include changing time or the consultation, so please allow an extra 10 - 15 minutes so we can discuss your requirements and ensure you get the most from your treatment.

Please wear comfortable, loose clothes to your appointment. For body massage, before we begin, you will be asked to remove outer clothing, lie on your front, and place a towel over you just below your shoulders.

Aftercare

Following treatment, it is highly advisable to allow your body to respond to the effects of a massage to achieve the best results. It is therefore recommended that you:

  • Drink plenty of water to flush out toxins
  • Avoid caffeine and alcohol for 24 hours
  • Avoid a hot bath following the massage
  • Avoid UV treatments and sunbeds
  • Avoid exercise for 12 hours

Sometimes people may experience headaches or cold/flu like symptoms following a massage. These symptoms are your bodies reaction to the flushing out of toxins and will pass, just continue to drink plenty of water to speed up the process.

If you are having a pedicure, it may be worth bringing a pair of open toe shoes / flip flops with you to avoid smudging nail polish until it is fully hardened. This does not apply to gel polish.
